**Spaces are limited to only 4 pairs, must add 2 participants per booking** This Mother’s Day, share a meaningful experience and a bit of creative fun in our special Intro to Hand-Building Class designed for you and your mom (or a beloved mother figure). In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how to create your own ceramic mug using the slab technique—a versatile and expressive approach to hand-building. Guided by our expert instructor, Vanessa, you’ll roll, shape, and assemble your mug step by step, picking up essential tips and tricks along the way. Whether you’re exploring your creative side or simply spending quality time together, this class is a memorable way to connect and make something beautiful with your hands. Our studio's peaceful, nature-inspired atmosphere sets the perfect backdrop to unwind and enjoy the moment. By the end of class, each of you will have a mug that’s entirely your own—functional, personal, and full of heart. Afterward, you’ll select from a variety of glaze colors. We’ll handle the glazing and firing, and your finished piece will be ready for pickup 2–3 weeks later—a lovely reminder of the time you shared. Preparing for class: - Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty - Closed toe shoes recommended - Trim down nails as having long nails do interfere with the process and can make the process difficult - Bring your own apron - Class fees cover everything from instruction to clay, glaze, firing, and use of studio tools Spaces are limited to just 4 pairs, so reserve your spot early and treat yourself and your mom to a special day of creativity, laughter, and connection.
